grounding

Exploring the isolating feelings of disconnection from nature in an urban setting through fine arts.

Grounding is an exploration of the isolating emotions of disconnection from the earth and our roots in urbanized settings. I created a process of meditating back to a place, bringing the outside in, using sensory memories for transportation. The meditation was explored through 5 paintings, a rug, and a zine. Designed to be accessibly shared, I intentionally dispersed the works into the world by selling the limited edition zines and 5 paintings at a comfortable price.
